A message from SPEED: On behalf of the Ateneo Special Education Society, I would like to thank COM 100-A’s Team Moma for choosing SPEED as a beneficiary of their class project “Love Bus”. The amount that will be donated to our organization will be of great help in funding “SPARKLE: SPEED’s Christmas Carnival”, where we celebrate the Yuletide Season with the special kids. What’s it about? LOVE BUS: A Seat and Greet Event is organized by Team Moma, a group of sophomore communication majors in the Ateneo de Manila University, as a class project in our Communication Seminar class. Date: October 1, 2010 Venue: Matteo Ricci Balcony, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan, Quezon City Time: 6:00pm-10:00pm Registration Fee: 100 pesos * Half of the proceeds will go to SPEED, an organization in the Ateneo that caters to the needs of special education children with lower economic background. What’s it REALLY about? We will gather college students from Ateneo as well as students from other universities in this hippie seat and greet event in hopes of promoting friendship, camaraderie and maybe even love among them. Using the speed dating approach and the Hippie theme, university students will meet people from the opposite fence, socialize and make friends with each other. This is the perfect opportunity to change your usual Friday night habit into something new, exciting and groovy!
